The memoirs
of Roksteg
Cap. 1 - Lephisto's awakening
The forest surrounding the village of Roksteg is a training ground for life — and for five young friends bound by a deep and unshakable bond. But that friendship isn’t the only thing they share: on every new moon night, at the stroke of midnight, each of them is struck by a mysterious phenomenon.
Always eager for adventure and ready to prove themselves, they will face painful conflicts and be forced to make difficult choices to discover who they truly are.
Once grown, they will confront a terrible threat — when a mad scholar, plotting in the shadows, crosses their path in a desperate attempt to awaken the legendary Lephisto.
Available in Ebook format, paperback, and hardcover.

Chapter 3 - Coming soon
Arah, the magical and unspoiled world that serves as the setting for Le memorie di Roksteg, is a place steeped in magic, divided into three types: divine, natural, and "traditional" (think Harry Potter style). These three forces exist in a constant balance with one another. Arah is inhabited by various sentient races: besides humans, there are orcs, elves, dwarves, and unicorns. All these species possess intelligence and magical powers.
In addition to the sentient beings, there are common animals and a vast magical bestiary. Spirits and nymphs are races caught between the mortal world and the divine realm. The gods are present and active in the world and occasionally manifest themselves before the sentient beings.

Anna Pasquini — author and journalist — reviews The Awakening of Lephisto
[...] With skill and narrative fluidity, the author presents a compelling and imaginative story, one that also offers deep reflections on the value of unity and friendship. You’ll feel as though you’re part of that same world, ready to rejoice and suffer alongside the five youths—as if inside a role-playing game or, in my case (having never played such games), a computer game where you fight for survival and gain power with each victory. [...]
A review of The Lost Kings of Gherrod, featured on the online magazine Expartibus
[...] Along their journey, which is both physical and inner, the five youths will encounter and clash with all kinds of personalities: friends, foes, ambiguous figures. They will discover the existence of unimaginable technologies and fantastic creatures, like the unicorns they had only heard about in legends. [...]
Review of The Seven Knights of Sin from the Universo Fantasy website
[...] Readers find themselves both baffled and fascinated already in the first third of the book, involuntarily drawn into the events and eager to continue reading, if only to see how the author will resolve situations that seem hopeless. [...] Over time, Federico Fubiani has succeeded in evolving and refining his style, creating an excellent fantasy novel that, while classic in its genre, is also surprising and original. [...]
Not just fantasy novels...
In my work as an author, I haven’t stopped at the Le memorie di Roksteg trilogy: so far, I have published two small short story anthologies. The first anthology, published in collaboration with the Cure2children Foundation, supports the GNN project (Global Neuroblastoma Network) — research aimed at finding a cure for neuroblastoma, a terrible childhood cancer. All proceeds from the sale of this collection are donated entirely to the GNN project. The second anthology, whose cover you can see, was released in May 2022 and gathers eleven unpublished stories of various genres, ranging from fantasy-historical to science fiction, and from humorous to horror.
The author
Federico Fubiani, born in 1972, lives with his wife and two children in Greve in Chianti, where he works as an office employee. A lifelong enthusiast of books, comics, films, and anime, his passion for fantasy role-playing games — in which he participates as a “master” — led him to take on the challenge of transforming those gaming stories into narrative fiction.
The first installment of his fantasy trilogy, The Awakening of Lephisto (2018), was adopted as a school textbook in several Italian middle schools. In 2019, Federico published the second volume of the saga, The Lost Kings of Gherrod, and contributed a short story to the small carnival-themed anthology All Aboard the Wagon. In 2020, he completed the saga with the final chapter of the trilogy: The Seven Knights of Sin.
In 2021, he published the short story collection Sogni, pensieri, parole e segni (Dreams, Thoughts, Words and Signs) in collaboration with the Cure2children foundation to raise funds for the treatment of neuroblastoma — a terrible childhood cancer — winning the “Art for Love” award.
In 2022, he published a second short story collection titled Eleven Stories You Have Never Read.
